Who am I?

Richard Marinus, also known as OFF Record, is a Dutch music and video producer and DJ based in the middle of the Netherlands. He has been active since the early 80s and is a prominent figure in the (Nu) Disco, Boogie, Electro, Funk, Hip-Hop, New Jack Swing and Soul scenes. 

He is the co-founder and co-owner of Disco Sparks, where he creates Nu-Disco, Nu-Boogie, Soul/Funk/Disco tracks and remixes with successful releases on Nightspot Recordings, Midnight Riot Recordings and Z Records. All tracks are available on various download platforms worldwide, such as Traxsource and Beatport. Do you like vinyl? Visit your record store and ask for Disco Sparks! 

He is also the co-founder and co-owner of Groove Inc., the makers of the Oldskool at the Beach party series that has been running since 2003, and a regular performer at top venues and festivals in the Netherlands and some in Europe – such as ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) and Baltic Soul Weekender. 

Richard is a mix DJ for various radio stations worldwide with the weekly mixshow IMIMI - Ibiza Mirror Mind: on Sam Ibiza, Starguardz, Yoursafe Radio, Dance Radio Amsterdam and Soultrack Radio. He delivers the weekly 3InThe Mix on the radioshow Sublime Classics, hosted by Wouter van der Goes, with 3 tracks from the Sublime Nu-Disco Top 10 in the mix!
